2012 Long Beach ICB Marathon Warms Up
It's that time of year again… when the morning air has a crisp feeling to it, when the fall of night starts to creep in earlier and earlier each day, and when people from around the world all come together for the love and passion of a well-loved tradition held every October in the great city of Long Beach, California.

From runners to cyclists, cheering fans to course playing bands, this event continues to grow year after year. With an estimated 25,000 participants and over 50,000 event attendees for the Health and Fitness Expo and Finish Line Festival, it's nothing short of a grand celebration for the 28th anniversary of this world-renowned race.
This year's course starts and finishes within the scenic Downtown Long Beach. From downtown, race participants will run and bike along the Beach Path, followed by their entrance into the Marine Stadium, past Blair Field. Continuing out through a student filled cheer alley at the California State University Long Beach, participants head back towards downtown where they are welcomed by a roaring crowd of family, friends, and fans; all cheering with extreme enthusiasm as they cross the finish line.
For other young children and adults passionate to participate, the Aquarium of the Pacific has created a 1 mile course known as the Pacific Kids Fun Run happening on October 6th.
At Hotel CURRENT, we create room packages available for marathon participants to help allow you more time and ease without having to deal with any distractions. Providing shuttle service to and form the course, complimentary shuttle service available to the event's Marathon Expo happening Saturday, Oct 6th, and local area within a 5 mile radius from the hotel (based on availability), a Healthy American Breakfast or special "Take it on the Run" to go grab bags (available only for Marathon guests), and a special 2pm late check-out time.
