Owner of Raleigh's English Garden Florist Will Help Attendees Spruce up their Homes for the Holiday Season at Assistance League® of Raleigh's Signature Fundraising Event.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) November 17, 2010 - This holiday season, Assistance League® of Raleigh, a local chapter of the national nonprofit Assistance League®, is giving members of the Raleigh community the opportunity to celebrate and get in the holiday spirit of giving by supporting at-risk children and elderly citizens in the area with their 2010 Festival of Trees® of Raleigh.
This year's event, which will be held at the Brier Creek Country Club beginning at 10:30 a.m. on December 2nd, will feature an exciting holiday program on home tabletop décor for attendees, led by the owner of Raleigh's English Garden Florist, Cydney English. English will conduct an interactive presentation during the lunch portion of the event, in which she will provide instruction on the most festive ways to decorate holiday home tabletops.
"We think Mrs. English will be the perfect presenter for the 2010 Festival of Trees of Raleigh," says Brenda Griffin, Assistance League of Raleigh president. "Her decorative skills will give attendees fun ideas for celebrating the holidays, and will help make the event as successful as it can be, which ultimately enables our philanthropic programs to reach more members of the community."
The 2010 Festival of Trees of Raleigh will feature more than just the holiday décor program and lunch, though. The event will kick off at 10:30 a.m. with live entertainment by the Sassy Classics, a high energy, Rockette-style dance group, and a silent auction featuring a variety of items from holiday decorations and gift baskets to trips, golf, items with which to pamper your pet, and much, much more. At 11:45, following the silent auction, an exciting live auction will be held.
