20 More Days to Upgrade Internet Security Suite or Standalone Antivirus Product to Outpost Security Suite PRO for Free
Agnitum expands exclusive offer for Kaspersky, Norton, McAfee, BitDefender and Avast Internet Security suites and Antivirus users - free upgrade to Outpost Pro.
- (1888PressRelease) September 13, 2011 - Agnitum, developers of Outpost Pro and Outpost Free security product lines, today announced that the company's free competitive upgrade program, originally launched in late July, is valid for 20 more days until September 30, 2011 and now standalone antivirus products can be also exchanged. Products from Kaspersky, Norton, BitDefender, Avast, McAfee, Avira, Eset, Trend Micro, and Panda are actively traded in for Outpost Security Suite Pro.
These 20 extra days should enable even more users from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Japan, and the Republic of South Africa to trade in their existing licenses.
According to Agnitum, 80 percent of the upgrade requests (10,000 requests in total) came from the following vendors:
Kaspersky - 26 percent
Norton - 15 percent
BitDefender - 10 percent
Avast - 9 percent
McAfee - 8 percent
Avira - 7 percent
Eset - 5 percent
The free competitive upgrade offer was launched to give users who were not happy with their existing security suite the opportunity to exchange that product at no cost for the robust and lightweight Outpost Security Suite Pro 7.5 Performance Edition.
This is an unprecedented opportunity for individuals concerned about cyberthreats to save up to $100 and get better PC protection for up to two years (up to 5 home PCs).
The offer is valid until September 30, 2011 for residents of 15 largest English, German and French speaking countries mentioned above. Users of Internet security suites from any of 21 vendors (listed at http://www.agnitum.com/lp/competitive-upgrade-to-outpost.php) are eligible.
Under the program, Outpost Security Suite Pro is provided free of charge for one or two years depending on the remaining term of the competitive license and includes free updates, upgrades and technical support. If the current license is valid for more than three months but less than twelve months, users will receive a one year license for Outpost Security Suite Pro. If more than twelve months remains on the license, users will get a two-year license for Outpost Security Suite Pro. Each Outpost license is valid for one, three or five PCs for personal or family use.
"We have been impressed with the speed and resource consumption of the Agnitum products we have tested in comparisons lately, with the caching of previous activities making for lightning fast speeds and minimal overheads..." - Virus Bulletin, April 2011.
