- Akron, OH (1888PressRelease) January 28, 2012 - Holiday Spirit and cheer were brought to those less fortunate with gracious donations from local businesses.
Joe Volchko a local business owner from Kent, Ohio wanted to give back to those less fortunate this holiday season and found the Cleveland Christian Home as a perfect match to bring the Christmas Spirit. " It's important to remember even in a tough economic climate how extremely blessed and fortunate that we still are and all the gifts that we have been given," says Volchko, "there are so many out there less fortunate than ourselves and if we can share but a glimmer of our joy with them then why not?"
The Fun for the Holidays event was held on Jan 7th at the Fairview Park Lanes in Fairview Ohio. The boys in attendance from the Cleveland Christian Home were at the event because of good behavior and upon arrival participated in a bowling party, with pizza (donated by Cici's of Fairview Park, OH, Pizza Hut of Great Northern, OH and Dominos Pizza of Fairview Park, OH), chips, cookies and a custom cake designed especially for the event (provided by Giant Eagle of Fairview Park, OH), raffle and door prizes, and gift bags to take home.
All gift bag items and prizes were donated by local companies including gift cards from Target (of Fairview Park, OH), an Xbox 360 with Kinect and dance game by (GameNTrade.com) and the Event was coordinated and hosted by Gold Wing Media of Kent, OH. Commemorative t-shirts as well as some of the basic necessities for the home were provided courtesy of Gold Wing Media and Lion Audio of Euclid, OH. Other donors included Play it Again Sports of Cuyahoga falls, OH, Pat-Catan's, and Buca Di Bepo of Westlake, OH.
