Ticket price supports two non-profits -- Monterey County Hospitality Association and Drummond Culinary Academy at Rancho Cielo.

    Monterey County Hospitality Association Background Information:
    Purpose. The purpose of Monterey County Hospitality Association, Inc. is to act as the advocate for its members and the Monterey County hospitality industry in general. To foster, protect and educate its members on matters affecting the viability of the industry. To ensure that its efforts are focused on maintaining a viable hospitality industry within the county. To protect and represent the industry against economic, governmental and market conditions that could negatively impact the overall economic viability of the industry. MCHA will provide advocacy and representation on governmental issues; will provide educational resources and employee recognition; and will ensure that the economic benefits of hospitality are made known to the community through an effective public relations effort.

    MCHA is the only hospitality trade organization that serves all facets of the hospitality industry throughout Monterey County.     Rancho Cielo Mission:
    To partner with our community to provide a safe campus to deliver programs and services that inspire at risk youth to learn new skills, gain self-esteem and confidence.

    Rancho Cielo is a comprehensive learning and social services center for underserved youth in Monterey County. Established in 2000, we are a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Residing on 100 acres and encompassing two lakes, stables and a cultivated garden, Rancho Cielo is also a restored piece of Salinas Valley natural history.

    Combining the rich resources of the natural landscape with the creative partnerships forged between local community, educational and law enforcement agencies, we aim to enrich the lives of young people who walk through our gates.

    This one is more specific to the Culinary Academy:
    The Rancho Cielo Drummond Culinary Academy is one of several programs of Rancho Cielo tailored to help transform the lives of our youth through learning new skills, on the job training, and professional mentorship. Our goal is to train at-risk youth in the Salinas and Monterey County area in a work environment that is conducive to learning, where they feel challenged, respected, and accountable. Our ultimate desire is to prepare culinary academy students to become qualified to work in the culinary and hospitality industry.
