18-year-old editor-in-chief, Alexa Wynter, launches online fashion magazine
18-year-old editor-in-chief, Alexa Wynter, launches Caneva, an online fashion magazine for the modern woman.
- (1888PressRelease) May 20, 2013 - "Throughout my life, I've encountered many women who have striking features, endearing personalities, and faultless styles. Yet, in spite of all of these things, most were either unaware or unappreciative of their characters. I hope that by celebrating these type of women in my publication, they will realize the depth of the impact that they make on other people in their lives," said Wynter.
Caneva is an online fashion magazine for the modern woman. With the magazine's planned debut in June 2013, Wynter anticipates targeting the fashion conscious woman.
The editorial website will be the main product of the Caneva brand, an online publication that offers invaluable sources of information on fashion, beauty and culture to readers.
"As a company, we will continuously strive to accurately represent the modern woman by immersing ourselves into her emotions and offer invaluable information that intersects with her lifestyle."
Wynter started her journalism career in 2009, as an editorial intern for a regional publication that is based in New York, NY. In 2011, she resigned and founded Caneva.
Wynter currently attends The High School of Fashion Industries, where she majors in Business Marketing. She will be attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she will be studying to receive her AAS in Advertising, Marketing and Communications in the fall.
"I've founded this publication to capture the spirit of the modern woman - a woman who is revolutionary, a woman who expresses her beliefs that are deemed to be provocative, thought-provoking and groundbreaking with passion and conviction; she is a woman who fearlessly embraces her boldness."
