The artistic media represented include paintings, sculpture, photography, glass, wood, jewelry, collage and ceramics as well as a full spectrum of craft art mediums including folk art, pottery, personalized gifts, handmade clothing, scented soaps and body products. Admission is free and open to the public.
This annual tradition, produced by Howard Alan Events, producer of the nation's finest juried art shows, and American Craft Endeavors, Florida's largest producer of first class craft fairs, is a celebration of the arts, complete with a fine art show and contemporary craft festival. The streets of Corey Avenue in downtown St. Pete Beach will once again be transformed into a high-end outdoor art showcase. The artists and crafters, who will line Corey Avenue with their professional display booths, will be on site for the duration of the show available to discuss their art and inspiration.
The 17th Annual St. Pete Beach Corey Art & Craft Festival makes the arts accessible to a broad audience. Prices range from $25 hand-designed earrings to $20,000 metal sculptures. The event appeals to festival goers of all ages as a free and fun weekend activity, as well as serious art buyers looking to add to their collections.
The artists and crafters, juried by an independent panel of expert judges, are hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity. All of their artwork is original and handmade in America. "We strive to select the very best artists in the country and look for the top local talent as well," says festival promoter Howard Alan. "Festival goers come to our events knowing they will see quality work and look foward to discovering new and emerging talent as well as revisitng the artists whose work they have come to know, admire and collect."
