1350 Distilling's New Spirit Pays Homage To U.S. Navy With Blue Jacket Rum
1350 Distilling announces a new spirit to their expanding line of distilled spirits, the Blue Jacket Rum. Made from Louisiana molasses and Colorado mountain water, the Blue Jacket Rum idolizes the U.S. Navy with its name, coloring, and branding and is available for purchase at 1350 Distilling's Taste Room at 520 E. Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado, in the downtown area of town.
- Colorado Springs, CO (1888PressRelease) September 30, 2019 - Today, 1350 Distilling of Colorado Springs, Colorado announced the release of their third new product, Blue Jacket Rum. Currently it is only available for purchase at the Taste Room and HQ of 1350 Distilling at 520 E. Pikes Peak Avenue in Colorado Springs downtown area.
“The Blue Jacket Rum is made from Louisiana molasses, Colorado sugar beets, and Rocky Mountain water right here in our hand-crafted, custom-made ‘Rocket Still,’” owner and head distiller, Phill Bragg stated. “This rum is gluten free and has such a great round rum flavor. It would have been at home on any Navy ship of yore but it is perfect for drinking and telling old sea stories.”
Classic rum drinks are served at the 1350 Distilling Taste Room and HQ such as: The Shellback Daiquiri, The Gitmo (Cuba Libre), Mojitos, and The Admiral, a rum old fashioned.
The Blue Jacket Rum is the third spirit offered by 1350 Distilling, following Minuteman Vodka and Guardian Bourbon. Each 1350 Distilling products represents a different branch of the military. The Rum represents the U.S. Navy. The Vodka is for the U.S. Army and the National Guard, and the Bourbon is dedicated to the U.S. Coast Guard.
1350 Distilling opened their doors to the public at the beginning of September 2019 with little fanfare. They are planning a Grand Opening Veterans Day Weekend, November 8-10th. Distribution of the Blue Jacket Rum into local bars, restaurants, and liquor stores will begin next week. Minuteman Vodka and Guardian Bourbon are available at several local bars, restaurants and liquor stores.
