1350 Distilling Announces New Business Partner
1350 Distilling, LLC recently added Matthew L. Freeman, (USMC, Ret.) as a partner and Head of Sales.
- Colorado Springs, CO (1888PressRelease) March 24, 2021 - 1350 Distilling, LLC, a craft distillery producing vodka, gin, rum and a family of bourbon whiskeys in Eastern Downtown (“EaDo”) Colorado Springs is pleased to announce the recent partnership with Gunnery Sergeant Matthew “Matt” L. Freeman, (USMC, Ret.). He is a shareholder and the new Head of Sales.
“After a year of dedicated, non-stop work representing our company on the front lines in liquor stores, bars and restaurants up and down the Front Range, it became obvious to the myself and my business partners that Matt’s contribution was not only valuable, it was a necessity we never knew we needed,” said Jake Weien, Vice-President of 1350 Distilling. “Our sales increased throughout Covid thanks to Matt’s former U.S.M.C. recruiter experience and perseverance. We never want to lose that. Making him a partner was the next step to the continued success of our distillery.”
Matt joined 1350 Distilling after their Grand Opening weekend conclusion on the United States Marine Corps’ Birthday celebration on November 10, 2019. After just a few months of sales through the Covid-19 Pandemic, he quickly acquired a majority of the 100+ sales accounts in the region. In May 2020 he was showcased on the 1350DISTILLING.COM news page, thanking him for both his service to his country and his contribution to 1350 Distilling. The originating partners include couples, Phill and Kandis Bragg and Jake and Abbie Weien. They started the business in 2016 in the Weien’s basement after touring many craft distilleries throughout Colorado. Matt and Phill are both retired U.S.M.C. with a collection of 47 years of service between the two of them.
1350 Distilling is a craft distillery located at 520 E. Pikes Peak Avenue in Downtown Colorado Springs that "Celebrates the American Spirit of our military and their loved ones, one drink at a time." They are veteran, teacher, and women owned. “We pledge ten percent of profits to veteran and local charities.”
