10th Annual Arizona Historic Preservation Conference Slated For Prescott In June 2012
This conference, an officially-sanctioned Arizona Centennial Event, will draw hundreds from around the country to explore the various aspects of historic preservation that include archaeology, architecture, city planning, rural economic development, sustainability, sense of place, cultural resource management, archival research, and much more.
- Prescott, AZ (1888PressRelease) January 27, 2012 - The 10th Annual Arizona Historic Preservation Conference will take place in Prescott, June 13-15, 2012, emphasizing the theme "100 Years of Living History."
This conference, an officially-sanctioned Arizona Centennial Event, will draw hundreds from around the country to explore the various aspects of historic preservation that include archaeology, architecture, city planning, rural economic development, sustainability, sense of place, cultural resource management, commercial and residential structure preservation and rehabilitation, archival research, historic photography, cultural tourism, project management, funding sources, legislation updates, and much more.
The annual Arizona Historic Preservation Conference is developed and orchestrated jointly by Arizona State Parks, the State Historic Preservation Office, the National Park Service, the Arizona Preservation Foundation, the Arizona Historical Society, and the Arizona Archaeological Council.
The impressive speaker line-up consists of scholars, consultants, world-renown architects, city planners, historic preservation experts, authors, government officials, archaeologists, architects, local destination officials, legislators, historians, and many more.
