The Electronic Component Encyclopedia is divided into two main parts: Active Devices and Passive Devices. The Active Devices section is further indexed by: Capacitors, Diode, Hybrid Integrated Circuits, Integrated Circuits, Magnetic Devices, Power Sources, Semiconductors and Transistor.
The Passive Devices section is indexed by these categories: Connectors, Resistors, Resonators, and Transducers.
A sample entry for connectors gives this definition:" Connectors, or interconnect parts, are hardware that are used to connect other devices together, such as connecting a cable to a circuit board. These parts are used to join different electrical circuits together for temporary or permanent use.
