(1888PressRelease) November 09, 2007 - DETROIT, MI, – Recording artist Terrance Day is in the process of breaking a new record (no pun intended). His goal is to sell 1,000,000 copies of the new independent CD “A Simple Life”. This is being done through his own popular web site MakeMusicHistory.com
Individuals, families, businesses owners, and organizations can be part of making music history! Everyone who supports this effort with a CD purchase receives a permanent place on the web site. Their name and link are added to the “Official Sponsor” or “Supporter” page online. During the official launch this week, MakeMusicHistory.com has received more than 92,000 unique visitors.
“Clear Channel owns all the major radio stations and venues. Most musicians aren’t aware that few people control so much of what we hear” said Susan Tedeschi, a Berklee College of Music graduate from Massachusetts. It may be true that most independent Artists like Terrance Day won’t receive major airplay in the US. However, new emerging talent can still be heard through an online presence. This has been proven with independent music sales through CD Baby, iTunes, and other online music stores.
The CD “A Simple Life” can be previewed and ordered online for $4 and additional copies are only 99 cents (plus shipping & handling) at http://www.makemusichistory.com
“Official Sponsors” and “Supporters” also get a free digital copy of the CD, free ringtones featuring samples off the CD, plus more.
Terrance wrote 10 songs in 10 days from Nov. 1 to Nov. 11 in 2003. Those songs are included on the CD “A Simple Life”. After 4 years of recording and music production, he hopes to make a healthy impact on his audience. Songs on this new CD feature original Rock and Country music, with Alternative and Pop influences. The lyrics share positive messages with colorful imagination, faith, and life experiences. The CD was released last month on his own independent record label called “3000 Records”.
While selling 1,000,000 CDs is a major challenge, Terrance Day remains focused on his goal. MakeMusicHistory.com was created so people who support independent music could help make music history! He confidently shares the goal with just about everyone he connects with. Terrance smiled as he said, “Even if I meet 1% of my goal, that would still be quite significant! You never know 'til you try.”
