"Who Gets the Television?" and Other Conflicts of Modern Divorce
Lynda L. Hinkle Esq. Author's Book to Guide the Legalities of Breaking Up.
- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) November 18, 2013 - New Jersey family law attorney Lynda L. Hinkle Esq. (www.lyndahinkle.com) lays out the importance of hiring a good lawyer in her new book, Breaking Up: Finding and Working with a New Jersey Divorce Attorney. Hinkle encourages those considering divorce to do it "the right way" by imagining a conversation with their future selves. The calmer, more level-headed versions of themselves would advise that they stay strong, learn the process and work with an attorney who is right for them. She explains that often the first squabble between couples breaking up is who gets the widescreen television.
Hinkle's book starts from the beginning of the process, covering the best methods and resources for finding a great lawyer. With a mix of emotional advice and fact-based information, she guides readers from the perspective of a seasoned legal veteran as well as her own personal experience. Chapter subjects include a breakdown of fees and payments, suggestions for saving money, and a step-by-step guide to the divorce process in New Jersey.
"Throughout my career in family law, I have dealt with hundreds of divorce cases," said Hinkle. "I've seen people struggling through the hardest time in their life, usually alone, which has driven me to compile as much advice as I can from my experiences. If I can help make the process easier, clearer, simpler or better for just one person, I've done my job."
Hinkle's book recognizes that in addition to the legal and potential custodial issues that might arise if there are children, divorce is one of the most stressful situations in life. The Holmes-Rahe index that ranks stress in one's life lists divorce as No. 2, only topped by the death of a spouse.
"I can't promise anyone a stress-free divorce," says Hinkle. "What I can promise is that with the right attorney and if you follow my tips, your divorce will be much less stressful."
Hinkle has been the Principal, Lead Attorney, and CEO of the Law Offices of Linda L. Hinkle since 2009. She has offices in Marlton, Woodbury, Gloucester Township and Salem, New Jersey. Her book is available on Amazon at http://amzn.to/17FX6rr.
