'Square Root of Love' Production in La Canada
"The Square Root of Love," a light-hearted comedy that looks at relationships in three vingettes where three different pairs of people, from youth to old age, express their outlooks on love, is coming to La Canada, CA on Valentine's weekend.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) February 01, 2013 - LCPC's Drama Ministry proudly presents THE SQUARE ROOT OF LOVE, directed by Justin S. Fisher (RETURN TO THE FORBIDDEN PLANET), on Friday February 15 and Saturday February 16 at 8 pm, and Sunday February 17 at 2 pm.
A light-hearted comedy, THE SQUARE ROOT OF LOVE views relationships through eyes of three different pairs of people, from youth to old age, who express their outlooks on love. The show features live music by South Pasadena women's trio "…Everything Nice! (and then some)," (Colleen Boag, Tina Tong & Beckie Ullett). Popular throughout the San Gabriel and San Fernando valleys, the group has sung the national anthem for S. Pasadena's Fourth of July kick-off and has performed for the Avon Walk of Breast Cancer and the Pasadena Arts Council.
"This combination of stage show and live music is the perfect night out, especially right after Valentine's Day. It is always a pleasure to be working with the ladies of …Everything Nice! (and then some) with whom I have done many, many performances over the years. It is also a treat to be working with some wonderful new actors (and a few of our regular goof-balls). You won't want to miss this great collaboration of stage show and music," says Justin Fisher, LCPC's Drama Ministry Director.
The cast includes Tyler Wright, Executive Director of the Canada-Crescenta YMCA (MACBETH, SHAKESPEARE ABRIDGED), Joe Crandle (RETURN TO THE FORBIDDEN PLANET) and Chelsea Duran (THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST).
This is a great way to extend the Valentine's Day holiday. The Drama Ministry will follow THE SQUARE ROOT OF LOVE, with THE MASK OF HIROSHIMA in May, a deep look into the enduring power of love.
THE SQUARE ROOT OF LOVE is rated PG-13 and will take place in the Worship Arts Center of La Canada Presbyterian Church, 626 Foothill Boulevard, La Cańada, CA 91011, for one week-end only. General Admission $15, student with ID $10. Free parking, air conditioned and wheelchair accessible. For more info go to: http://tinyurl.com/acfer7m.
