"Ride for Rissy" Steeple Chase Ride Benefit
Turning Point Worship Center is raising funds to offset Medical Bills for Young Leukemia Patient.

- Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) August 21, 2013 - On Saturday, August 24, 2013, the Men's Ministry at Turning Point Worship Center will be hosting a "Steeple Chase Ride" through Polk County to raise money to offset medical bills for Charissy "Rissy" Bustos-Fernandes. The "Steeple Chase Poker Run" is starting at Turning Point Worship Center at 1400 E. Georgia Street at 11:00am.
Rissy was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myelogenous Leukemia) at the age of 13. For the past 3 years Rissy has been in and out of All Children's Hospital and is currently undergoing daily treatments. She is also under the care of a neurologist. She gives God glory and praise for each day and has a special place in the hearts of the members of the Men's Ministry. Rissy will be participating in the Steeple Chase as a rider with Pastor Tommy Presley and she may even participate in one of the poker hands.
After leaving Turning Point Worship Center, there will be 4 stops at different churches along poker route. At each church, the riders will pick up a card and at the final stop prizes will be awarded for a variety of poker hands. They are expecting everyone to return to Turning Point Worship Center around 4:00pm. There will be BBQ and live bands at the finish line, a 50/50 drawing, and MANY Door Prizes. The cost to participate in the ride is $20 for Bike and Rider OR Cage and Driver, $10 per passenger.
