  • (1888PressRelease) November 11, 2011 - Dr Alan Barnard, CEO of Goldratt Research Labs (USA) will be in India on 29th November to talk in two-day workshop on 'Critical Chain Project Management' in New Delhi. Sanjeev Gupta, CEO, Realization, will be another prominent speaker on the occasion and will talk about 'Doing Projects Right Today.' The event is organized by ProjectsToday, a division of Economic Research India Pvt Ltd, which monitors 43,000 ongoing projects in India.

    According to the data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, 158 large projects (involving project cost above Rs 1000 crore) currently under various stages of implementation have seen a cost overrun of 21%. In other words, country has to spend Rs 1,00,497 crore more on these projects because of cost overrun. Application of latest technologies and newer project management concepts can help the country to reduce wastage and ensure efficient use of scarce resources.

    The workshop will be held at Clarion Collection, The Qutab Hotel, New Delhi on 29th and 39th November.
