"Only Human? Born Happy and Ready to Forgive" by Graham Bott is published
One man's struggle to re-connect with his feelings in search of love.
- (1888PressRelease) July 25, 2016 - "Only Human? Born Happy and Ready to Forgive" by Graham Bott, About the Book: Born in the early 60's, this is an account of one man's struggle to re-connect with his feelings, after burying them at three years of age.
An uplifting and deeply honest reflection on the 1970's and 80's including the music and fashion scene, Drugs, DJ's and Drag Queens.
A thrilling recollection of a near death experience on the Arab/Israeli border, and then later in life, a chance encounter that would pave the way to true love, and, the opportunity to break free from the chain of low self-esteem.
Is there life after death? Or, am I Only Human?
Excerpt from the Book:
"In 1977 age 15 I left home, and as far as I was concerned, it was FOREVER!
I was free to play my music when I wanted, to eat what and when I wanted, I stayed up late, and did all the things normal teenagers did, only this time it was on my terms. I loved the freedom that little job gave me, I even liked the caravan despite the damp and obvious leakages after a downpour. I played Disco all the time, Donna Summer and the 3 degrees were my favourites. I knew all the moves and had begun to play around with the idea of forming a dance group. I went back home only once to pick up all my GG stuff, mainly pop posters and fan club stuff, however mum had been in and cleared my room, she had re-painted and moved herself and Gordon in there as it was a slightly bigger room. Mum said she made a bonfire and burnt all the stuff I left behind. I should have known, however I was free from her at last and nothing would stop my having my freedom, so I thought."

Wow, I had a feeling this book was going to be good, it wasn't just good it was terrific. Once I started to read it I couldn't put it down. There were certainly some things that made me think, but I also felt uplifted by knowing that we are all basically the same. Thanks for the wonderful memories of the 70 s and 80 s , I felt a journey through the time tunnel with a good deal of laughter. I am going to recommend my friends to read this and especially my gay friend who is struggling to come to terms with his sexuality. Thank you Graham for a fantastic read.

A wonderful book. An honest and interesting account of a lovely man's life and how he got to where he is now. A book about overcoming adversity, forgiveness, strength, love, happiness and living life to the full. A great read and very thought provoking. Though sad at times, overall it's an uplifting book that makes you feel like anything is possible and everything will be ok in the end.
