"Million Dollar" Ms Walk Team Reaches Milestone
2-10 Home Buyers Warranty recognized as first MS Walk team in Colorado to raise $1 million.
- (1888PressRelease) August 10, 2011 - DENVER - Representatives from the Colorado-Wyoming Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society and employees of 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty came together last week to celebrate a milestone no other Colorado MS Walk team has achieved - $1 million in cumulative donations raised for the National MS Society.
2-10 Home Buyers Warranty marked another milestone this year, reaching 20 years of continuous participation in the annual MS Walk event. This year alone, the company raised $64,087.80 at Walk MS, surpassing the team's 2011 goal of $60,000. The 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty team consisted of 692 team participants who collectively brought the company's cumulative total to $1,045,068.61.
"As a company, we are passionate about contributing to the MS Society's mission to free the world of multiple sclerosis, and to help make a difference in the lives of those who have been stricken with this horrible disease. We are proud of our 20-year relationship with the organization," said Wendy Fisher, Director of Regulatory Affairs for 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty and 2-10 HBW MS Walk team captain. "Each year, we strive to increase our annual total contributions and number of participants. We hope to reach additional milestones for the MS Society as our relationship continues."
Walk MS 2011, hosted by the Colorado-Wyoming Chapter of the National MS Society, included 14,000 participants across Colorado and Wyoming this year who are raising more than $1.5 million to support MS.
