Cure. - The Hollywood Dance-a-THON" is a high-energy benefit for The Four Diamonds Fund and their fight against pediatric cancer. Last year, the event raised $37,411 for The Four Diamonds Fund, which funds innovative research on childhood cancers. In it's second year, the event is looking to increase attendance, donations, and awareness of the cause. This spirited, music-filled dance party, to be held January 27, 2013 at the Avalon Hollywood from 2pm- 8pm, will be done once again in true Hollywood style, with celebrities and VIP's on the red carpet, live bands, musical perfomances, and local dance groups. The event also features supporters who have signed up to dance throughout the event; raising donations from sponsors similar to the various cancer walks. The event will also be auctioning off one-of-a-kind and limited edition items. Some of last years items included diamond jewelry, LA Kings tickets, autographed memorabilia by TV casts, etc.

The benefit is being co-hosted by Devon Werkheiser and Gia Mantegna. A promo video for the event can be seen here: http://youtu.be/X5hyjqzfdxU. Devon's many film and TV credits include a recent guest star appearance on Criminal Minds, which stars Joe Mantegna, and a starring role in the independent feature film I Brake for Gringos, slated for release in 2013. Devon is also a talented singer/songwriter. His original music is featured in several of his films and is available on iTunes. This is the first year that Gia Mantegna will be participating in "Lights. Camera. Cure." Gia, 22, is best known for her work in 13 Going on 30, and In the Land of Women. Mantegna made her acting debut at age 13 in the 2003 film Uncle Nino, alongside Anne Archer, Trevor Morgan and her father, Joe Mantegna. The benefit is being sponsored by The Penn State Alumni Association Los Angeles Chapter (PSULA) in support of THON, the 46-hour dance marathon held by the students at Penn State University each February for the past 40 years.
