Have you ever wondered how a person winds up on a difficult road? Is it fate, choice, or maybe a little bit of both?
Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) February 01, 2017 - Los Angeles, CA - A crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter launched on 27 January 2017 for the short film "Hard Road". A budget of $30,000 will provide wages and production expenses necessary to make an intense, high quality film. The budget also includes film festival and distribution fees for a global market. Production will be for 3 days in April. The short film will be completed by the middle of June and then distributed to various film festivals across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
"Hard Road" is about a family and how they handle what life gives them. It will explore intense, traumatic experiences that will be dealt with in a conscientious manner. Familial cycles and traditions will be explored; as well what is the difference between choice and fate. The focus of the story will surround the relationship and love between a mother and daughter.
The filmmaker, Victoria Angelique, has worked on a couple of independent films and has a Masters of Arts in Film and Literature with a special emphasis in adaptation, though "Hard Road" is an original story. Previous work includes a short film entitled "Devotion" which is on YouTube and available to watch at the bottom of the page of the Kickstarter campaign.
The film will be 20 minutes in length and classified as an intense drama. It will be an emotional rollercoaster with a message to prevail and tackle what happens with life head on. Things may still be hard but with the love of family and friends, anything can be dealt with.
