"Globus - Global Software Bus" - Users evaluate their tools in use SW development concerning their integration capabilities
The research project "GloBus - Global Software Bus" between pliXos and the Technische Universität München moves ahead. At present, the project team is carrying out an analysis of the tools used in the market for software development lifecycle from a user's perspective.
- (1888PressRelease) September 28, 2012 - The pliXos GmbH and the Department of Software and Systems Engineering at the Technical University of Munich launched a three-year pilot project in June 2012 in order to develop a further major building block for the governance of globally distributed (offshore/nearshore) software development projects allowing corporations as well as small to medium-sized enterprises to benefit from a global approach in SW development. Goal is to develop an independent project bus, which allows the effective integration of the currently most important and most widely used tools in the market for software development lifecycle (SDLC) with the pliXos Outsourcing Director.
The necessary research moves ahead. Own research on the usage of existing tools in the market and all information available concerning their integration is finished. A close alignment with selected users is finished as well. Next step is the confirmation of those results by help of a detailed and neutral survey among users. The data collection is currently ongoing. The anonymous online survey, which can be found linked below, mainly examines which tools are most commonly used by a user and how well this is or could be integrated with others.
The project team would heavily appreciate if any user being involved in SW development takes the time to complete the anonymous online survey provided by the pliXos website or as direct link via Google Docs at: http://goo.gl/Uv723. We will announce all other details about the survey and the results after the end of the project.
