'Fashionotsava' - an Endeavour for creativity organized at FDDI
The Footwear Design & Development Institute's (FDDI) Fashion designing school "The School of Fashion Design" (SFD) hosted "Fashionotsva" - a fashion event. The objective of this event was to showcase the learning and creation of the first year students of the SFD.
- Indianapolis, IN (1888PressRelease) May 28, 2013 - The Chief Guest and the Head of the Jury for the event was Mr. Nil from the premium fashion brand 'Dev r Nil'. The Guest of Honour and the other Jury Member for event was Ms. Garima Agrawal from "The Shopper's Stop.
Mr. Raajeev j Lakhara, Managing Director, FDDI, said, "The ground breaking 'Fashionotsva' explored the vital relationship between nuances of the fashion industry and the culminating skills acquired by the students of the SFD and reflected the fact that they have understood the creative and innovative techniques of the industry to be a trendsetter and obtain leadership."
The floral welcome and traditional lighting of the inaugural lamp by the Chief Guest, Jury Members and other dignitaries was organized in the beginning. The entire event was divided into various sub-sections namely Colours of India, Retro-Metro, Street Fashion and Avant Garde. The themes for Avant Garde section was Global Warming, No-Smoking and Ashoka the Great.
The success of 'Fashionotsva' was accentuated by the excellent audience participation as FDDI's auditorium was packed to the capacity where some prominent industrialists & designers also attended this fashionable evening with the friends. During the 'Fashionotsva' students of the SFD provided insightful and intriguing perspectives on the culture of fashion. The entire show was designed choreographed by the faculties and the students of the SFD. The show was very much appreciated by the dignitaries and other guests.
'Fashionotsva' was an important bearing and will contribute significantly to FDDI's success story internationally, making it stand in the world's fashion stakes by providing the opportunity to bring some of the finest budding Creative Designers, Fashion Stylist, Product Development Design Houses, Fashion Coordinators, Fashion Publishers to the main stream.
After the completion of the show, Seetha Vivek Yadav (Ethnic Category); Prerna & Aditya (Casual Wear Category), Soumya Srivastava (Avant Garde Category); Sachin Saurabh (Most Creative Garment category) were adjudged the best in their respective categories by the Jury members.
