The new web parts are designed using SharePoint 2010 Server Object Model and are innovatively built to simplify enterprise functions. Both the web parts come with several configurable parameters and one can easily customize these setting according to their requirements. With a flexible design, these web parts offer ready to use functionality, and a freedom to plug and play with the configurable parameters.
The Dynamic Tabs web part is a special purpose web part, which offers better visual representation of the list data in a tab format. The tab representation of the data makes it easy to browse through the varied list items, at a glance. With this, users can easily spot the topic of their interest, and can go through its details.
A distinguishing feature and advantage of this web part is that, user can go through each tab's content, without any post back, unlike in the SharePoint list. Any newly added list item would be dynamically added as a new tab on the web part, on the next page refresh. The web part is designed for use with SharePoint 2010 Foundation, Standard and Enterprise versions.
The Tip of the Day web part displays a random tip every day. The web part picks a random entry from a predefined SharePoint List or RSS feed, according to the configuration. Armed with varied configurable parameters like SharePoint List Name, RSS Feed URL for external tips, List fields corresponding to the picture, title and tips, and URL for an optional picture, the web part is also compatible with all the versions of Microsoft SharePoint 2010 (Foundation, Standard, and Enterprise).
