(1888PressRelease) May 01, 2013 - Migraine headaches affect more than twenty million Americans. The cause of a migraine is still unknown, although many scientists agree that is is related to improper brain function. Migraines can be accompanied by moderate to severe headaches, though there are many other symptoms associated with migraines.
Those who often suffer from migraines or migraine attacks oftentimes have a sensitivity to light and sound, or have reactions to foods and/or drinks. While some triggers exist, the large majority of the affected population does not know what specific triggers they have.
"Breakthroughs" with Martin Sheen will further investigate this matter with content on Public Television, aiming to educate the populous on what these afflictions are about and new and advanced ways to treat them. By educating the public, fewer people will have to needlessly suffer. The series will review options and feature prominent experts in the medical field.
"Breakthroughs" is not affiliated with PBS. The segments are created and distributed to independent Public Television stations.
