If you want to know about Bloomsbury’s scholarly and medical institutions, bookshops and cafes which make for a eclectic gathering of locals, students & tourists, this is the book for you. Bloomsbury is a place steeped in history, a place with beautiful Georgian architecture in Bedford and Russell Squares, and one which in just one square mile includes the renowned British Museum which is a treasure trove of antiquities and the Charles Dickens Museum, in the author’s former home, where you discover fascinating connections between the author of "Great Expectations" and that of his characters.
This is a beautifully illustrated, historically and culturally rich book.
