About the Author:
L. J. Greatrex was born one of three siblings in a small village in the Midlands, having only moved around the same village three times with just a small break when living in West Kirby on the Wirral. L. J.'s career began with General Electric and progressed through to the financial sector of the steel Industry, spending the most recent years with a classic car parts company and today as their Financial Health Consultant.

Thus far, she has published 18 other books including nine books in the “Hackers” thriller series, five charming children’s stories about the natural world, and four further novels including “A Penny’s Eye View,” “Fledgling,” “Careless Summer” and “Red Sky”.

Excerpt from “Behind the Eyes”:
“Please, Alisha, what is it?” she begged as Alisha turned.
“I hate you all,” she continued to cry and run.
Nasir and Fredrick, thinking she would see reason when she realised it was for her own good, were sorely mistaken.
Taking her car from the garage, Alisha, dust flying, screeched across the pebble drive and onto the road without looking back.
“I’ll talk to her,” Fredrick said, leaving Chris standing as he jumped in his limousine and raced after her.
As he reached a bend, the unimaginable had happened. Although the lorry veered, the impact was head on.
Seeing her crumpled car on its roof was beyond unreal. Wrenching at the door, he panicked as he realised the blood all over the windscreen could mean only one thing. “Ambulance, police and be quick, there’s an accident….” It took seconds for Fredrick to work out his location. “Please hurry, she’s badly hurt.”
Afraid to touch Alisha as to do so may make things worse, he cried, “Please, sweetheart, hang in there, help is on its way.” These words were the last Fredrick uttered to the love of his life as her blood eased and her heart stopped.
“Oh God, please don’t leave me,” he sobbed uncontrollably as the emergency services wheeled the gurney to the ambulance.
