"Before the Scream" released by art rock band The American Tarot
Twenty Six years after their first album, American underground band "The American Tarot" releases their most politically charged album to date.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) December 18, 2011 - Not since the early days of The American Revolution has the nation, and the world, been so uncertain. In those days, it was underground authors like Thomas Paine and Benjamin Franklin that galvanized the people toward the cause of human rights and freedom.
Paine's "Common Sense" was an instant hit, and showed the enormous desire among the people for works of art that echoed the spirit of freedom they themselves new to be the true state of man. Nobody in today's political races can fill that void, but that spirit is alive in the new release "Before the Scream" by The American Tarot. Fronted by political philosopher, author, and founder of The Sane Party: Kenneth Shipman, the group of artists known initially as "Tarot" as far back as 1985, and then "The American Tarot" in more recent years, has captured the essence of the second great American revolution. Songs like "FTP", and "I Know What's Real" cut through the menagerie to explore the fundamental human condition with open eyes. Both uplifting and poignant, "Before the Scream" is more than music- it's the answer. The band are looking forward to a new era of touring, so watch their website for info on live dates.
