A seminar hosted by China Europe Legal Group in cooperation with Fudan University regarding the acquisitions of Italian luxury brands by Chinese investors.
- (1888PressRelease) November 25, 2010 - On November 12, the seminar entitled "Acquisition of Italian luxury brands by Chinese investors", was hosted by the China Europe Legal Group Brand Exchange Division, in cooperation with Fudan University in Shanghai. The summit brought together industry representatives from leading Chinese enterprises, government officials, industry trade associations, and other creative industry organizations, with a focus on increasing value among Chinese manufacturers and retailers through the strategic acquisition of Italian brand rights for exploitation in the China market.
In the first part of the seminar Mr. Marco Carone, the managing partner of Italian law firm Carone & Partners - China Europe Legal Group, introduced the China Europe Legal Group and China Milan Equity Exchange and analyzed the cases of successful investments of Chinese companies in Italy. Ms. Ivana Kopilovic, associate with the Carone & Partners - China Europe Legal Group presented the legal aspects of the acquisition of Italian luxury brands by Chinese investors. The expert in Italian and Chinese fashion industry, managing director of Italian fashion company Made for China, presented the marketing strategies for Chinese investors wishing to takeover Italian brands in the fashion/apparel industry. Mr. Raul Mora from Promos, special agency of Milan Chamber of Commerce dedicated to investment attraction to Milan and Lombardy region presented the opportunities for Chinese investors in Milan area and the support offered by Promos.
In the second part of the seminar the representatives of leading Chinese enterprises in the sectors of fashion & design, white goods and food industries discussed with the speakers the opportunities and the strategies for the Chinese companies wishing to expand globally, through harnessing the power of Italian globally-recognized brands.
